About the course

This concentration leads to both Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees in Environmental Conservation (ECo) and is designed for students who want scientific training in the multi-disciplinary fields of forestry and arboriculture. The focus of this concentration is broadly on forests and trees in urban, rural, and wildland ecosystems, and encompasses specialized training in fields such as forest ecology and management, urban forestry and arboriculture, and forest policy and land protection. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Massachusetts - Amherst

Applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association, or complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. The minimum scores are 550 for the paper-based TOEFL test and 80 for the computer-based TOEFL test, 6.5 for the IELTS. Students are required to submit an explanation that address any grades falling below a letter grade B or a GPA of 3.0 by US standards.
