About the course
The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (CBE) at Iowa State University is an academia of faculty, staff and students immersed in nationally and internationally recognized chemical and biological research. It was formed in 1913 as one of the first chemical engineering departments in the country.

Entry requirements for Iowa State University
English Proficiency Minimum: TOEFL Paper (PBT) – 587, TOEFL Internet (iBT) – 94, IELTS – 7.0 TOEFL is not required from applicants who have received a degree from an institution in a country where English is the only official language. GRE Required. The department has no strict minimums but typically admitted students will have GRE-V/Q/A>= 145/160/3. A graduate applicant should preferably have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering or chemistry. Academic Records, GPA, Statement of Purpose, Letters of Recommendation . Full Admission status may be granted to an applicant who either has achieved a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or greater (on a 4.0 scale).
