About the course
The Organizations and Social Change (OSC) track in UMass Boston's Business Administration, PhD Program responds to the growing interest in issues at the intersection of business and society. The interdisciplinary OSC track is distinctive among PhD programs in business schools, in our explicit commitment to diverse perspectives, theories, and methodologies. UMass Boston is guided by a mission of social justice and community involvement, and is an extraordinary place to learn about the relevance of business and organizations in addressing societal issues. Students in the OSC track will be positioned to pursue academic careers at universities and research institutions. Graduates from the OSC track have found positions at universities in the U.S. and abroad. Entry requirements for University of Massachusetts - Boston (Shorelight)
Applicants need to submit a current r?sum? or CV, a statement of purpose, three letters of recommendation, official transcripts of all prior academic work, a writing sample, official GMAT or GRE scores, and, if appropriate an official TOEFL or IELTS score. International applicants must submit evidence that they have completed the equivalent of a regionally accredited, U.S. university-level Bachelor?s degree program. Acceptable documents can include official copies of diplomas, certified final degree certificates, and notation on final transcript of degree and date awarded. Academic Recommendation Letter (from a school-based counselor and/or teacher) . An official high school record, leaving certificate and/or graduation examination results or their notarized copies. All documents in foreign languages must be translated by a certified professional. TOEFL PBT - 600, TOEFL IBT - 90, IELTS - 6.5. A minimum, cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or international equivalent) in all undergraduate work.
