About the course
The graduate program in biology at the University of Rochester is designed to foster the development of scientists capable of doing advanced biological research. We offer a PhD and MS in biology. Rochester?s biology program is notable for its collaborative approach, world-class faculty who share a common interest in genetic processes, and myriad research opportunities on the River Campus and at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC). Our PhD program is designed to foster the development of scientists capable of doing advanced biological research. We offer students research opportunities in: Molecular, cellular, and developmental biology Evolution, ecology, genetics, and genomics Our faculty share a common interest in genetic processes. As a result, our students benefit from the high degree of interaction and cooperation among laboratories. Our program, taken on a full-time basis, requires a total of 90 credit hours. Entry requirements for University of Rochester
Applicants must have earned a U.S. baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from a college, university, or technical school of acceptable standing. Students in their final year of undergraduate study may be admitted on the condition that their bachelor's degrees are awarded before they matriculate. Evidence of the earned degree is required prior to matriculation in the form of an official transcript noting degree conferral. College transcripts (for all schools attended). IELTS - 7.5, TOEFL PBT Test -600,TOEFL iBT Test or Revised TOEFL Paper-Delivered Test - 100.
