About the course
The Department of Animal and Food Sciences offers three graduate degree programs: the master of science degree in animal science, the master of science degree in food science and the doctor of philosophy degree in animal and food sciences. In animal science, research programs are offered in physiology, ruminant and poultry nutrition, microbiology, immunology and pathology, and molecular biology, genomics and bioinformatics. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Delaware
Students may enter the Ph.D. program after having previously earned a bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.), M.S. degree, or Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent(s).An applicant for graduate study in Animal and Food Sciences should have an appropriate background from a baccalaureate degree, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.75, and a 3.00 average in his/her major. Foreign students must demonstrate competence in the use of the English language by a minimum score of 575/233/85 on the paper based/computer based/IBET TOEFL.
