ANU has become a leader in art history and curatorial studies and for the past 30 years has been forging connections with national cultural institutions in Canberra. ANU is uniquely situated among Canberra's national cultural institutions including the National Gallery of Australia, the National Museum of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Library and the Australian War Memorial. Many of the University's art history and curatorship graduates work in these institutions and our nationally renowned internship program may enable you to undertake part of your studies within these institutions. How to apply
Entry requirements for The Australian National University
To be admitted to the Doctor of Philosophy program you will be required to have completed at least an Australian Honours degree or equivalent, with a result of H2A (Second Class Honours Division A). Equivalence may be met by completion of a Master’s degree that includes a significant research component.
Academic IELTS - An overall score of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component of the test.
TOEFL PBT - A score of 570 with a TWE score of 4.5
TOEFL iBT - An overall score of 80, with a minimum of 20 in Reading and Writing and 18 in Speaking and Listening.
