About the course

Few schools can match the quality of CCM?s Piano Department. An all-Steinway institution, CCM offers advanced piano students access to more than 170 pianos (one of the world?s largest collections of new Steinways), a prestigious faculty of artist-teachers and the opportunity to learn from and perform with esteemed musicians in world-class facilities.

　　The performance-based curriculum includes weekly private lessons with faculty mentors, chamber music coaching and many opportunities to gain hands-on experience. DMA Piano students perform solo and chamber music degree recitals, complete coursework in repertory, pedagogy, performance preparation, musicology, research and writing techniques and produce a final scholarly document or project. CCM?s unique cognate program enables students to develop a secondary field of expertise. Our faculty of eminent artist-teachers offer students one-on-one attention and opportunities to perform in the tri-state region and globally.

　　Graduates of the program can be found as leading pedagogues at major conservatories around the world, and as performers, composers, orchestrators and directors of competitions. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Cincinnati

Obtaining a bachelor’s or master’s degree (3.2 minimum GPA) from an English-speaking university, or a passing score of level 112 at an English Language School (ELS). For IELTS an overall band score of 6.5, TOEFL- 80 (internet-based test), TOEFL- 566 (paper-based test).TOEFL- 222 (computer-based test).
