About the course
The mission of the three year Doctor of Musical Arts in Jazz Composition is to provide students with opportunities for advanced study in jazz and studio arranging, composition, and orchestration.
The overriding goal is to help students find their individual voice as composers/arrangers by the continued development of high-level skills that will enable him or her to pursue a career as a professional arranger/composer.

How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Miami
Submit the following educational documents to an approved international credentialing evaluation service: a) Official original diplomas and certificates in the original language, and b) Official original transcripts in the original language (names of courses, grades, and hours of instruction) for every year of study. Graduate applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA for consideration. The Frost School of Music requires applicants to receive a minimum TOEFL score of 80 or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
