About the course

Launch your career in the sport, exercise and health sector with this multi-disciplinary degree that also incorporates a year working in industry. This unique course equips you with the knowledge and skills needed to boost the performance of elite athletes and to work with members of the public including children, older people and those adapting to illness and injuries, to improve their quality of life.

  Overview

  Our expert lecturers are active researchers and have practical experience of working in areas such as sports management and policy, sport marketing and leadership, nutrition, sport psychology and sport science, and their research underpins our teaching, ensuring you learn about the latest thinking in the field.

  You’ll study key areas including sport industries, sports marketing, sports leadership, sport and exercise promotion, exercise physiology, psychology, nutrition, biomechanics, as well as exercise for special and clinical populations. You will also develop your research skills in advance of undertaking your final year research project, which gives you the opportunity to use our excellent lab-based facilities and equipment ensuring you develop practical skills.

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Kent

A level - BCC including grade B in an appropriate subject (eg Biology, Chemistry, Sport, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology, Mathematics, Applied Science)

  International Baccalaureate - 30 points overall or 15 at HL including Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics, Sports, Exercise and Health Science 5 at HL or 6 at SL and Mathematics 4 at HL or SL.

  GCSE - Mathematics grade C

  IELTS - 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in reading&writing, 5.5 in speaking&listening).

  TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (with a minimum of 22 in reading, 21 in writing, 17 in listening, 20 in speaking.
