About the course

Launch your career in this exciting field with the innovative BSc Sport and Exercise for Health at Kent. It gives you the knowledge and practical experience needed for a broad range of careers, from enhancing the performance of elite athletes to improving the quality of life for the elderly. At Kent you’ll learn from expert lecturers who have vast experience in sports organisations, training, sport psychology, and injury and rehabilitation. They work with a range of clients from Olympians and Paralympians to members of the public. You'll gain a good mix of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. You'll also develop a range of highly valuable laboratory and clinical skills, giving you the best possible start to your career.

  You graduate with an excellent grounding in scientific knowledge and extensive laboratory experience. In addition, you also develop the key transferable skills sought by employers, such as- excellent communication skills, work independently or as part of a team, the ability to solve problems and think analytically

  time management. This means that our graduates are well equipped for careers across a range of fields and have gone on to work in sports science support for elite athletes, professional sports teams, teaching and in the NHS for physical activity, exercise referral or health promotion. Entry requirements for University of Kent

A level - BBB including grade B in an appropriate subject (eg Biology, Chemistry, Sport, Physical Education, Physics, Psychology, Mathematics, Applied Science)

  GCSE - Mathematics grade C

  International Baccalaureate - 34 points overall or 15 points at HL including Biology/Chemistry/Physics/Mathematics/ Sport, Exercise and Health Science/Psychology 5 at HL or 6 at SL and Mathematics 4 at HL or SL

  IELTS - 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 6.0 in R&W, 5.5 in S&L) TOEFL iBT - 90 overall (with a minimum of 22 in R, 21 in W, 17 in L, 20 in S
