Entry requirements for University of Southampton
GCSE - We look for a broad range of GCSE (or equivalent) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics at a minimum of Grade C.
GCE A-level - Grades AAA from 3 A-levels OR Grades AAB from 3 A-levels (if one subject at A-level is Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics or Statistics) A mix of science and arts or social science subjects can be a good preparation. There are no compulsory subjects at A Level. General Studies and Critical Thinking at A-level are excluded.
International Baccalaureate Grade 36 (18 at HL) or 34 (17 at HL).
IELTS: band 1C, 6.5, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component or an equivalent standard in other qualifications approved by the University.
