About the course

Tourism has evolved into a global phenomenon – one of the most important economic sectors and social activities of our time. Prior to the pandemic, it contributed directly to 10.4 of the world’s GDP (US9.2 trillion) (World Travel & Tourism Council, 2019). It is expected that the worldwide tourism revenue will reach over 900 million by 2025, compared to 300 million in 2020 (Statista Mobility Market Outlook, 2021).

　　The BSc (Hons) International Tourism, Hospitality and Events programme will help you develop key skills for responsible tourism management while exploring contemporary issues faced by the industry.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Northumbria University

BTEC HND/Foundation Degree or equivalent in a related subject. If you have taken a BTEC HND programme, we will usually expect you to have performed to an average of Merit standard. If you have taken a Foundation Degree, we will be looking for performance to Commendation level, or 60% average
