About the course

The Independent Major (IM) is a major exclusive to the College of Arts & Sciences at UM. It allows students to create their own customized AB or a BS degree in the College of Arts & Sciences, depending on the field of study and working in consultation with their Guidance Committee. Entry requirements for University of Miami

If you have attended a secondary school outside of the United States, you must submit your official secondary school documents (transcripts, mark sheets, certificates, examination results, etc.) to Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. for a course-by-course evaluation and grade point average calculation that will be sent directly to us. Please note that we will only accept official evaluations directly from Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. Paper Based TOEFL (PBT): 550, Internet Based TOEFL (IBT): 80, IELTS (Academic): 6.5.
