About the course

The BS program is for the student who wants to take an engineering, technological or scientific approach to sustainability and environmental issues. Students in this program are required to take at least 23 credits of science and math. Sustainability Studies combines ideas and methods from many disciplines to understand the complex, evolving relationship between humans and their environment. At Hofstra, you can tailor your degree depending on whether you want to focus on natural science and math, or would rather emphasize the social sciences and humanities. Specific areas of interest include but are not limited to sustainability management and benchmarking, green entrepreneurialism, suburban and urban environments, agriculture, international development, and community development and planning. How to apply

Entry requirements for Hofstra University - INTO USA

Admitted students intending to enroll at the university must submit their final high school transcript or proof of degree (copy of high school diploma) to the Office of Admission. Students are not permitted to begin classes at Hofstra until proof of their high school degree is received.

　　Your application should include your secondary school record, a personal statement or essay and a TOEFL or IELTS score report (if English is not your first language) or SAT or ACT exam score (see below.)

　　an internet-based-TOEFL (IBT) score of 80 or higher , paper-based TOEFL score of 550 or higher or computerized TOEFL score of 213 or higher.
