The Department of Physics offers the Bachelor of Science in Physics with the choice of two options. The option in professional physics. This option is designed to prepare students for graduate study or for professional careers in government, industry, and technical fields such as optics, electronics, data science, or materials science. The option in general physics. Students intending to teach high-school physics should choose this option. How to apply

Entry requirements for California State University - Chico

Official high transcript(s) – both the original and a translated English version must be submitted. Completion of a university-preparatory secondary/high school program with a 3.0 (B in the U.S. system) or Very Good GPA.

　　University-preparatory mathematics courses including beginning algebra, geometry, and intermediate algebra. All must have passing grades (C or better, or the equivalent). TOEFL - paper 500, TOEFL - internet based test (IBT) 61, IELTS 6.
