About the course

The individual major is a flexible program for undergraduates in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences who want to attain a specific academic goal that is not easily attained through a major in one or more departments. The major must involve courses from several departments, must be at least as rigorous as a regular departmental major, and must be targeted at a special intellectual problem or academic need identified by the student. The individual major must be approved by a faculty committee and the CALS Curriculum Committee. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Wisconsin - Madison

Freshmen applicants are required to submit academic records for the equivalent of US grades 9–12, as well as any external examination results. Accepted students must complete their studies and earn their respective credentials (certificates, diplomas, etc.) before enrolling. Generally, admitted students have an Internet-based TOEFL score in the 95–105 range (587–620 on the paper-based test) or an IELTS score of 6.5–7.5. TOEFL must be submitted electronically from the testing service. We do not accept the IELTS electronically. Please have a paper copy of your results sent directly from the testing agency to our office through the mail. Be sure to give additional time for this process.
