About the course

Our computing programs highlight the interdisciplinary nature of computing and offer the flexibility to combine studies in computing science with other areas of study. Through the General program, you’ll acquire the technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to create innovative solutions for a wide range of challenges.Our CS department has expertise in several exciting areas, including Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Multimedia and Computer Games, Software and Database systems, and Machine Learning and Bioinformatics. Together, we are changing how computing science is being taught.Computing Science can also be taken as part of a BSc with Specialization or a BSc with Honors. Entry requirements for University of Alberta

Admission is based on your complete academic history and achievement in three main areas: your grades, your English proficiency, and completion of required subjects. English Language Proficiency requirements - TOEFL iBT: At least 90 with a minimum score of 21 points in each section. PBT is no longer accepted. IELTS - At least 6.5 with no band less than 5.5. SAT: minimum combined score of 1800 with a minimum of 600 on each section . Redesigned SAT: minimum combined score of 1200 with a minimum of 600 on each section . ACT: minimum composite score of 26
