About the course

The department of Computer Science (CS) offers undergraduate (BS) and graduate (MS) degrees, three minors, a programming certificate, and a CS-Math major. Most of our courses are delivered by full-time faculty members and instructors. Our faculty are highly accessible, teach a broad range of topics, and have developed strong research programs that provide many opportunities to our students. Teaching and research assistantships are available to some of our graduate applicants.

　　The growing utility of computers in research and education, as well as the increased impact of computers on our modern society, strongly implies that knowledge of computers and their capabilities should be a part of the basic education of all students. The objective of the undergraduate curriculum in computer science is to develop professionally competent, broadly educated computer scientists who wish to pursue professional careers or graduate studies leading to research or academic careers. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Montana

Submit official transcripts, academic records, diplomas, national examination results, certificates or degrees received from all secondary, post-secondary, university and/or professional schools. All academic records must be in the original language accompanied by an English translation. The applicant may make the translation themselves. TOEFL iBT - 70 or higher, TOEFL PBT - 525 or higher, IELTS - 6.0 or higher. To be eligible for admission, freshman students must have the equivalent of a 2.5 GPA.
