About the course
The University of Delaware offers students interested in chemistry or biochemistry the choice of five undergraduate degree programs: the Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, designed for students who want a broad exposure to the field as preparation for professional school or a related career, the Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry Education, for students whose goal is to teach chemistry at the secondary level, the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, for students who desire to pursue careers in the field, the Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Environmental Concentration, for students interested in environmentally-oriented careers, and the Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, for students who wish to specialize in this aspect of the science. All three B.S. degree programs are accredited by the American Chemical Society. Honors sections of several lecture and laboratory courses are offered every semester, and Honors Degree options are available for both B.S. degrees, as well as the B.A. in Chemistry Education.
