About the course

The Information Systems major is designed for those students interested in business-oriented, computer technology-based information systems. Students will learn both conceptual knowledge and skills to prepare for a future as an information systems professional. The major integrates general business and management knowledge with expertise in computer technology (including programming, database, web, and networking) to help students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to obtain employment in a competitive job market, start a business, or pursue further education in graduate and professional degree programs. Entry requirements for University of Nevada

Official high school transcripts showing dates of enrollment, subjects taken in the last three years, grades received, graduation date and/or certificate of graduation and official transcripts from all higher education institutions attended. Transcripts must be sent directly from the institutions attended to the University of Nevada, Reno. TOEFL) score of 61 (iBT-Internet-Based Test) or 500 (Paper-Based Test).
