About the course
The Biochemistry Program is a joint program between the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry and the Division of Biological Sciences. Biochemistry is an interdisciplinary science that brings powerful spectroscopic, chemical and computational tools to bear on fundamental problems in biology. The program offers a B.S. in Biochemistry, a minor in Biochemistry, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Biochemistry & Biophysics.
Program faculty members come from the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, the Division of Biological Sciences, the Department of Biomedical & Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Department of Computer Science. Faculty expertise includes structural biology, bioinformatics, enzymology, protein dynamics, RNA biology and the molecular genetics of pathogenic organisms.
The B.S. in Biochemistry, Health Professions option is for students who plan to pursue careers related to biochemistry particularly in health care. Entry requirements for University of Montana
Submit official transcripts, academic records, diplomas, national examination results, certificates or degrees received from all secondary, post-secondary, university and/or professional schools. All academic records must be in the original language accompanied by an English translation. The applicant may make the translation themselves. TOEFL iBT - 70 or higher, TOEFL PBT - 525 or higher, IELTS - 6.0 or higher. To be eligible for admission, freshman students must have the equivalent of a 2.5 GPA.
