About the course

Our undergraduate program was created to prepare the next generation of mathematicians, engineers, and scientists for successful careers in industry, research, and business. Our department consists of 22 full-time faculty members, all holding PhDs in mathematics. That means our students learn from?and alongside?leading math faculty and advanced graduate students who love teaching. The Department of Mathematics at the University of Rochester is a research oriented department with a strong interest in preparing the next generation of mathematicians, scientists, and engineers for successful careers in industry, research, and business. The department offers five undergraduate degrees: BA in math, Honors BA in math, BS in math, Honors BS in math, BS in applied math, The undergraduate program also includes a joint BA in mathematics and statistics, a math minor, a certificate in actuarial studies, a certificate in mathematical modeling in political science and economics and a joint 4 plu1 master?s program with the Warner School of Education.
