About the course

Agricultural economics is the study of the economic factors affecting agricultural production, food consumption, commodity marketing, farm management, natural resource use and management, agricultural finance and agricultural trade. Students must complete university general education requirements as specified by the College of Agriculture. Excellence in teaching is a long-standing characteristic in the Department of Agricultural Economics, and one we continue to cultivate diligently. Students who enter our academic programs leave us equipped to achieve. The success of our students is ly related to the individual attention they receive from our faculty, and the innovative instruction and practical experience found in our classes.

　　The agricultural economics program balances the theoretical and practical applications of agricultural economics to give students the best grasp on emerging issues facing professionals in food and agriculture today. Students earn a BS in agriculture with a major in agricultural economics. By combining agricultural economics with another degree, minor, or pre-professional program, students can develop a program that fits their interests and career goals. Students have combined agricultural economics with political science, computer science, nutrition, journalism, statistics, animal science, agronomy, grain science, accounting, and business. How to apply

Entry requirements for Kansas State University

Transcripts for all previous academic coursework must be submitted. This includes high school (secondary school) transcripts, and any and all university, college, vocational, community college, or technical coursework beyond the secondary level.
