About the course
Be part of the next generation working to protect and conserve environments under threat both in Australia and globally with a major in Conservation and Wildlife Biology at Murdoch. As Australia’s population expands, and human activities impact the natural landscape, the importance of preserving fragile ecosystems and endangered species grows. Combine your passion for the environment with a strong foundation in scientific knowledge on how to manage and preserve fragile ecosystems and endangered species and communities. Throughout your studies you will gain a solid understanding of a range of biological disciplines and their application to the conservation of biota. You will be immersed in wildlife research through case studies and field experience and gain an understanding of the social, political and economic context in which conservation policy is developed. You will learn applied skills that are in high demand from employers including advanced training in laboratory and field survey techniques from staff with applied experience. How to apply
Entry requirements for Murdoch University
Overseas Year 12.
Western Australian Universities Foundation Program (WAUFP) - CPS of 54 or higher
GCE A Level - Minimum of 6 points from the best 2 or 3 subjects where A=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 (AS Levels are equivalent to half points e.g. A=2.5, B=2 etc.) or higher.
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - Total score of 24 or higher
Global Assessment Certificate (GAC) - Successful completion of the GAC with a minimum overall GPA of 2.6
