About the course

Medical radiation science is a diverse, challenging and progressive field that combines science, health and anatomy/physiology. The Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science from Charles Sturt University offers you the theoretical knowledge and professional skills to practise as a qualified medical radiation scientist. Taught by industry-based professionals, this medical radiation science degree has a high success rate in industry employment.

　　You can also choose to specialise in one of three areas: nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, diagnostic radiography, or radiation therapy. You’ll enrol directly into your specialisation, but build a strong foundation of core knowledge in your first year.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Charles Sturt University

Completed High School Certificate with an ATAR of 65 (including adjustment factors) or equivalent.

　　OR

　　Successful completion of two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

　　OR

　　A completed AQF Certificate III or higher level qualification.

　　OR

　　50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification.

　　OR

　　A completed Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.

　　A minimum overall Academic IELTS score of 6.5 with no score below a 6.0 in each of the individual skill areas or a qualification deemed equivalent.

　　Written evidence of completion of a university degree that was conducted and examined solely in English. Acceptable forms of evidence include transcripts indicating that the language of instruction was English or by the provision of a certified written statement from the academic institution.

　　EAP4 program with D grade or higher

　　HKDSE with a minimum 4 in English Language

　　HKALE with a minimum D pass in Use of English

　　German DAAD language test with a minimum of 2 A scores and a B scores

　　Swedish High School English results with a rating of C or above (results must be no older than 8 years from proposed course start date)

　　Norwegian High School English results with a score of 4 above (results must be no older than 8 years from proposed course start date)

　　Finnish High School English results with a score of 8 or above (results must be no older than 8 years from proposed course start date)

　　Danish High School English results with a score of 7 in English A or 10 in English B ( from test results after August 1st 2007). Results must be no older than 8 years from proposed course start date.
