About the course
To address the breadth and value of various forms of knowledge in a changing world, the Bachelor of Liberal Studies major is structured to allow students to design individualized programs of study to include humanities, social sciences, and natural and mathematical sciences. By developing a diverse knowledge reflective of a true liberal arts education, the Bachelor of Liberal Studies is a degree completion option for students who have completed significant coursework but not the requirements of a specific major.
A Liberal Studies education offers students a diverse set of skills that can be adapted and applied to an ever growing career marketplace that is placing more emphasis on the skills associated with a Liberal Arts education. Job postings across a wide spectrum of career fields are looking for candidates with Liberal Arts backgrounds and the vast majority of job descriptions highlight skills such as, teamwork, clear writing, problem-solving and strong communication skills, all of which are developed by earning a degree in Liberal Studies. Entry requirements for University of Kentucky
All secondary school and college/university level transcripts must be submitted for review. The transcripts must be official and in your native language. You will also need to provide another official transcript that has been translated into English by your secondary school or college/university. College/university transcripts from institutions outside of the United States will be evaluated for transfer credit by our office.The University of Kentucky accepts official TOEFL and IELTS results from the testing headquarters. The minimum TOEFL score of 71 (iBT), 197 (cbt) or 527 (paper-based) or a minimum score of 6.0 on the IELTS is required for admission to the University of Kentucky
