About the course

Develop advanced skills in contemporary Indonesian language, and gain a greater understanding of the political, environmental, and social issues affecting Indonesia and the Asia region. Indonesia is our nearest Asian neighbour and on track to become the world’s 10th biggest economy by the end of this decade. In this course, you’ll develop advanced skills in contemporary Indonesian language, and gain a greater understanding of the political, environmental, and social issues affecting Indonesia and the Asia region. When you graduate, you’ll find your Indonesian language skills are in high demand in a range of areas, particularly roles involving foreign affairs, security, defence, media, international development and education. You could also become accredited as an interpreter and translator through separate application and testing by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI). How to apply

Entry requirements for Murdoch University

IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.5

　　Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL IBT) - 79 with no band less than 21

　　Overseas Year 12.

　　International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - Total score of 33 or higher.

　　GCE A Levels - Minimum of 12 points taken from the best 2 or 3 subjects where A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 (AS Levels are equivalent to half points e.g. A=2.5, B=2 etc.) or higher.
