About the course

Our newly restructured IT degree gives you the flexibility to complete stand-alone core subjects along with an in-depth specialisation of your choice. You may also enrol in electives from across the university, complementing your IT studies to tailor your own unique study plan.

　　Throughout the program, you will develop strong communication, academic, programming and problem-solving skills - critical attributes for success in the IT sector. Your acquired skills will help you facilitate smooth communication with software developers in web design, systems modelling and user experience.

　　Participation in our professional engagement course provides you with the opportunity to network and enhance your knowledge within the IT industry. You will also build awareness of the latest research and developments, and explore the extent to which IT is embedded in areas as diverse as health, education, industry and more. How to apply

Entry requirements for Federation University Australia

Undergraduate students are assessed competitively on the basis of Australian Year 12, or equivalent overseas school qualifications. Students with post-school qualifications (eg diplomas, advanced diplomas) may be considered for admission with advanced standing or credit (recognition of prior learning).

　　GCE A Level with 5 points calculated on 2 or 3 A/AS level subjects. Advanced Level mark A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1. Advanced Subsidiary Level mark calculated as half of A level points. International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) with a minimum score of 24 from 6 subjects.

　　IELTS: Overall 6.0 (no band less than 6.0)

　　TOEFL ibt: 60-78 with minimums: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, Writing 21
