About the course
The BFA in Visual Arts (514) is a professional arts degree, with concentrations in Graphic Design and Studio. This degree requires 73 (studio) or 79 (graphic design) credit hours of Art and Art History courses. Students in the BFA program are prepared for professional employment in the visual communication, design, and fine arts industries, for further study at the graduate level in visual art or graphic design, and for developing an individual, professional, design or studio practice. Entry requirements for Western Kentucky University
Students must meet ONE of the following requirements for admission: ACT composite of 20 or greater, or SAT combined score of 1020 or greater (940 or greater combined score accepted for tests taken prior to March, 2016)*, or Unweighted high school GPA of 2.50 or higher, or Achieve the required Composite Admission Index (CAI) score. IELTS - 6.0 or higher, TOEFL (Paper Based) – 525, TOEFL (TIBT) - 71 or higher.
