About the course

The School of Art offers students an environment in which the pursuit of a degree is a commitment to a way of life that centers on creative thought processes and the production of artworks. Students with an area of study in Printmaking and Book Arts experience a broad interdisciplinary approach. Printmaking and Book Arts courses include completing research involving various modes of production. Skills in traditional and alternative printmaking techniques are developed alongside a deeper understanding of how the printed multiple can move through the world. Sustainable practices are emphasized as students learn how to make their own paper from a variety of fibers as well as recycled paper and reuse paper in order to gain a better understanding of their materials.

　　The program extends beyond the printed image. The study of the Artist Book extends into Comics and DIY Publishing practices. Students can develop their narrative ideas through a variety of Comics courses and learn how to distribute their work via Zines and DIY Publishing. The facilities contain all the necessary tools of production for our students to print, bind, and distribute their own zines, books, comics, and graphic novels. Entry requirements for George Mason University - INTO USA

Certified official, original transcripts from all secondary schools as well as official results from any leaving certificates or university entrance exams taken.
