From day one of your degree you will progress through a series of property courses covering the physical, economic, planning and legal aspects of property as well as specialist areas including property valuation, agency and management and property funds management.You can package the Bachelor of Business (Property) with the Master of Finance degree and graduate with two qualifications in just four years with our 3 Plus 1 Pathway to Masters program. This unique offering allows you to fast-track your studies, develop greater expertise and broaden your career opportunities. You will study a three-year bachelor degree and a one year master’s degree (typically two years) in four years by using your undergraduate electives.Engage with industry through networking events, or undertake an international study tour.Study the longest-running specialised property degree in Australia, and the only one of its kind in South Australia.Become a well-rounded property professional with a critical advisory and management skills.Prepare for a property career in valuation, asset portfolio management, fund management, investment or research.

  Career outcomes - :

  Commercial property analyst: researching market trends and statistics to forecast the industry future, determining the best use of finances, performing due diligence research in order to broker real estate deals, working with sellers and buyers

  Land and property valuer: providing advice on financing and valuation, analysing investments, managing portfolios, calculating values by considering market demand, future trends and other factors, valuing office, retail, industrial and residential properties for sale and purchase, bank lending and preparation of financial statements

  Portfolio manager: making investment decisions and carrying out investment activities on behalf of clients or institutions, implementing investment strategies, managing day-to-day portfolio operations

  Property developer: researching land and property opportunities and evaluating the feasibility of a project, assessing the best use for the land or property, planning the property development, including the schedule and costs, working with architects, builders, and local councils

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of South Australia

Recent secondary education : Meet any prerequisite requirements with a minimum grade of C- or equivalent AND Qualify for the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE), and achieved a competitive Selection Rank (ATAR), or Complete secondary qualifications equivalent to SACE, or Complete the International Baccalaureate Diploma with a minimum score of 24 points.

  Higher education study : Complete or partly complete a recognised higher education program at a recognised higher education institution, or Complete at least four Open Universities Australia (OUA) courses at undergraduate level or above.

  Vocational Education and Training (VET): Complete an award from a registered training organisation at Certificate IV or above.

  IELTS total [6.0], IELTS reading [6.0], IELTS writing [6.0]. TOEFL PBT - 550 with TWE of 4.5.TOEFL IBT - 60 with Reading and Writing not less than 18.
