Learn how to turn your passion for sustainability into a rewarding career where you can make a difference within communities and regions, in both Australia and overseas. Our major in Sustainable Development aims to train you as the next generation of sustainability leaders for world-changing work in Australia and overseas. You’ll get to explore the environmental, economic, social and cultural dimensions of sustainability, and develop a wide range of much-needed green skills. Areas covered includes urban and rural sustainability, sustainability ethics and economics, and sustainable lifestyles and behaviour change. How to apply
Entry requirements for Murdoch University
For admission into Murdoch you must be able to provide evidence of competency in the English language. This is usually achieved through one of the following:
A scaled score of 50% or more in ATAR English, English Literature or English as a Second Language (or interstate equivalent).
An Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall score of 6.0 (with no band below 6.0) or equivalent scores for the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, TOEFL iBT or the Occupational English Test (OET).
Successful completion of a University enabling course (e.g. OnTrack, FlexiTrack).
A score of 140 or more in the Written English component of the STAT test
Successful completion of either a Diploma (AQF Level 5 or higher) OR two University-level units (AQF Level 7 or higher).
Test of English as a Foreign Language - IBT (TOEFL IBT) - 73 with no band less than 18
You are currently completing Year 12, or have completed it within the last two years, and are using the results you gained at school for entry. This includes ATAR (or equivalent from interstate or overseas) or vocational education and training qualifications completed during your studies at high school.
International Baccalaureate - 3 or better in Higher level (HL), 4 or better in Standard Level (SL)
