About the course
The Bachelor of Arts: Special Major is offered by San Francisco State University for those students who have unique academic goals, which cannot be satisfactorily attained through one of the regularly offered undergraduate major programs of San Francisco State University or other colleges and universities in the Bay Area. The special major consists of a combination of courses planned in advance to focus on an integrative and coherent theme identified by the student. A written statement must be developed which describes the goals of the proposed major. The program must be compatible with the general objectives of the university. Entry requirements for San Francisco State University
You are considered a first-time freshman if you are currently attending high school, or you already graduated from high school and have not earned college or university credit beyond the summer immediately after high school graduation. Transcripts are required for each high school you attended. We look for a 2.5 grade point average (GPA) in the 4.0 grading scale or B- average, and that you have, or will have, the equivalent of US high school completion. TOEFL iBT Total Score- 61 & Paper-based Test (PBT): 500, IELTS Overall Score - 6.0. SAT Evidence Based Reading and writing - 550, ACT English Score - 22. IB English A – Language and Literature HL
