About the course
Learn about all the major fields in psychology, including human development through our lifespan, biological, social, and cultural influences on the individual person, perception, emotion, learning, cognition, language and neuroscience, personality and individual differences, abilities and disabilities, psychological health and wellbeing, and psychological disorders. You’ll have the chance to study psychology along with other subjects in the arts and humanities when you choose a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Build special expertise in the areas of psychology that most interest you. You’ll examine leading-edge research and practical applications to explore how we make sense of ourselves. With a focus on the latest research in these fields, you’ll integrate your learning of subject matter with the research methods used to discover new knowledge in these fields. How to apply
Entry requirements for Murdoch University
For admission into Murdoch you must be able to provide evidence of competency in the English language. This is usually achieved through one of the following:
A scaled score of 50% or more in ATAR English, English Literature or English as a Second Language (or interstate equivalent).
An Academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall score of 6.0 (with no band below 6.0) or equivalent scores for the Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic, TOEFL iBT or the Occupational English Test (OET).
Successful completion of a University enabling course (e.g. OnTrack, FlexiTrack).
A score of 140 or more in the Written English component of the STAT test
Successful completion of either a Diploma (AQF Level 5 or higher) OR two University-level units (AQF Level 7 or higher).
Test of English as a Foreign Language - IBT (TOEFL IBT) - 73 with no band less than 18
You are currently completing Year 12, or have completed it within the last two years, and are using the results you gained at school for entry. This includes ATAR (or equivalent from interstate or overseas) or vocational education and training qualifications completed during your studies at high school.
International Baccalaureate - 3 or better in Higher level (HL), 4 or better in Standard Level (SL)
