About the course

The Department of Visual and Performing Arts offers the Bachelor of Arts in Music Education. Music education at USC Aiken is an exciting program that serves those whose commitment is to teach music to others. It is based upon the simple premise that every person deserves the highest level of individual attention and guidance as they develop intellectual reasoning, musical aptitude, and aesthetic appreciation. The program is rigorous and requires disciplined and enthusiastic people who strive for academic, musical, and personal excellence. Admission into the music education program is based upon academic, musical, and personal preparation. Students must first apply and be accepted into the University of South Carolina Aiken, then complete a separate application for the music education program. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of South Carolina - Shorelight

TOEFL paper based test (PBT): 551 or higher, TOEFL internet based test (iBT): 80 or higher, IELTS: 6.0 or higher band score with no sub score lower than 5.

　　School Records - These are transcripts or examination certificates of satisfactory study such as A or O levels, baccalaureate, bachillerato, Reifezeugins, or other school certificates for all secondary and/or postsecondary coursework, along with certified, literal (exact) English translations for documents not originally issued in English. All official documents must be sent directly from the issuing institution, examining body, evaluation service or translation service to the USC Aiken Office of Admissions.

　　SAT or ACT examination results - These standardized tests are optional for admission, but mandatory for potential scholarship consideration. Official and original results must be sent directly from the testing agency to the USC Aiken Office of Admissions.
