About the course
If you love math and want to teach, you can work in a classroom your very first semester. We have two magnet schools located on campus, so you can hone your teaching skills at both the elementary and secondary levels. These experiences will lead to: Internships, Professional apprenticeships, Student teaching. The Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with Certification in Secondary Education includes a balanced program of rigorous mathematics content and practical teaching knowledge.
