About the course
A criminal justice degree is a versatile program that examines law enforcement, the courts and corrections. Majors in criminal justice are growing in popularity because they provide a launching pad to a wide range of careers. Also, many law enforcement agencies are starting to require a bachelor?s degree for some high-demand jobs. In addition to preparing you for careers, a bachelor?s in criminal justice will provide a solid academic foundation for pursuing graduate study in your field of interest. Earn your bachelor?s in criminal justice at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. This innovative program provides a strong emphasis on restorative justice (working with victims, offenders and the community to repair the harm caused by criminal behavior). Our criminal justice degree also explores justice in rural environments and tribal justice systems. Criminal justice majors benefit from extensive hands-on learning and career development opportunities at UAF. Many find employment through our program with criminal justice agencies and other organizations in the region. We have a dedicated advising team to help you explore your options and guide you throughout your program of study. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
