About the course
An Interdisciplinary Degree in the Fine Arts anticipates the rapidly changing landscape of arts in the 21st century through a customized and synergistic pedagogy. It supports students in making connections, and working effectively, within and across disciplines. Students will be able to practice across boundaries in multiple media, write and think in the theory of art and art practice, and be introduced to issues of professional practice, including representation, management, grant writing, fundraising and budgets. Students will be assessed on their ability to situate their work in appropriate cultural, historical, and theoretical contexts. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of New Mexico
Secondary Education: Completion of the equivalent of an American upper secondary school education (approximately twelve years of formal education beginning at age six) and have the appropriate diplomas or satisfactory results on leaving examinations (if completed).
Academic Preparation: Strong academic preparation or a U.S. equivalent grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale (for freshman applicants) or 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (for transfer students with the equivalent of 24 college credithours).
ACT and SAT are NOT required for admission to UNM as an international student.
