The Individualized Plan of Study track allows you to create a major not already offered at Iowa. It can be designed around your goals and should integrate courses from departments across the university. This track typically attracts students who are self-motivated and goal-oriented. You will need to submit a plan of study to the interdepartmental studies faculty advisory committee before you declare the major in this track. It is possible to pursue this degree through the four-year graduation plan.

How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Iowa
You must meet the following requirements for admission: Completion of academic upper secondary school (generally a total of 12-13 years of primary and secondary education). A corresponding secondary school diploma or leaving certificate. Above-average grades in a secondary school program that is university-preparatory in nature. The on-campus English Proficiency Evaluation (EPE) will be required unless applicants submit a TOEFL overall score of 100 or higher. IELTS 6.5, no part score under 6. Submit three letters of recommendation. An ACT English of 21. An SAT Reading score of 29.
