About the course

The University offers a bachelor of arts (BA) and a bachelor of science (BS) in general studies. This program is designed for individuals who have already earned 75 or more college credits and now wish to further their education.

  The program provides a flexible, convenient, and individualized approach to education. Each student works with an advisor to create a program of study tailored to support the student's career goals. Graduates possess the critical thinking, leadership, and interpersonal and communication skills valued by employers.

  The General Studies Program is housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, and is offered in cooperation with the colleges of the University. Entry requirements for Indiana State University

To qualify for admission, applicants normally must satisfy the following:

  Completion of the Indiana Core 40 high school curriculum (or equivalent for non-Indiana graduates) with a grade point of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
