About the course

The BA with an interdepartmental major in Political Science and Economics explores important issues arising in both the public and private sectors and provides students with the basic theoretical tools necessary to investigate these issues. Students are required to take foundational courses in economics, two math courses and a statistics class. Political Science offers course options in Institutional Analysis and Governance, Politics in the Developing World, Politics of the European Union, and International Political Economy, among others. Economics offers upper level course work in International Trade, Monetary Economics, Economic Development, and others. The interdepartmental major in Political Science and Economics introduces students to the methods used by each of the two disciplines to study public-sector and private-sector decision making as well as the role of government in a complex society. Entry requirements for Indiana University - Bloomington
