About the course

The Department of Sociology and the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration (TSPPPA) jointly offer a combined Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Master of Public Administration degree. The BA/MPA program allows students to complete 12 credits as part of the undergraduate program, thereby completing the master?s degree within five and a half years.One of the social and behavioral science disciplines in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, the program examines the historical development of criminal justice and its evolution into modern legal systems. Students analyze how different forms of criminal justice affect individuals and society.Students gain a comprehensive understanding of sociological theory, with emphasis on the history and the impact of the justice system and social conditions that affect crime and criminal law. How to apply

Entry requirements for George Washington University

GW requires applicants to have a minimum score of 90 on the TOEFL, a 6.5 on the IELTS

  Submit a SAT critical reasoning score of 650 or higher

  Submit a SAT evidence-based reading and writing of 650 or higher

  Submit an ACT English score of 29 or higher

  Applicants must submit official transcript copies representative of their entire secondary school career. We consider secondary school to be four years of academic study including the current year in progress. Transcripts are required from each secondary school they have attended as well as marks from any national examinations.
