About the course

The study of design provides a historical, cultural, and social context for the comprehension, evaluation, and creation of visual art works. Studying art fosters critical thinking, visual literacy, and an understanding of the complex potential of visual, non-verbal means of communication and culture. It also provides training in a range of media and techniques that can be utilized in the creation of visual art and graphic design. How to apply

Entry requirements for Cleveland State University - Shorelight

All secondary school records, including certificates. All school records should be submitted in the original language and should be accompanied by a certified English translation. Cumulative secondary school GPA equivalent to a 2.3 on the US grading scale for most programs. Students who have attended a US high school or secondary school in another country that follows the US high school curriculum must submit ACT or SAT scores. These students must submit a minimum total ACT score of 16, or a minimum old total SAT score of 770 (before March 1, 2016), or a minimum new total SAT score of 880 (after March 1, 2016). TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based): 78 and at least 17 in each section. TOEFL PBT (Paper-Based): 550. IELTS: 6.0 and at least 5.0 in each section.
