About the course
If you’re interested in global issues in tourism, the Bachelor of Arts in Global Tourism will help you understand how tourism enriches the wellbeing of the communities it engages with and protects the natural environment it relies on. This degree focuses on creativity and innovation in tourism, and how to create a more ethical and sustainable tourism industry. This major looks at tourism from a global perspective. Courses cover a wide range of topics including tourism and sustainability, current issues the tourism industry faces, innovation and entrepreneurship, and how to create more sustainable destinations. You could consider combining the Global Tourism major with a second major or minor in areas like business and innovation, digital cultures, languages, Māori development or law. How to apply
Entry requirements for Auckland University of Technology
International Baccalaureate (IB) with successful completion of a minimum of 24 points.
General Certificate of Education (GCE) with three A-levels including at least one C grade or better. A result in General Studies cannot be included among the 3 on which the application is based.
A minimum of CCC scores (7 points) across the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY)
Acceptance of the NCUK English for Academic Purposes qualification as an alternative to meeting the English-language requirements, with a minimum of a C grade overall and no less than D grade in each component.
IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall with all bands 5.5 or higher, or equivalent, TOEFL IBT – 80.
