About the course

The BAS concentration in Nuclear Medicine is designed for individuals who have completed a nuclear medicine technology educational program and want to advance their knowledge and skills within this specialty.

　　The curriculum includes an overview of business and administrative functions in healthcare, foundational knowledge in information systems and accreditation, and essentials of leadership, along with advanced expertise in nuclear medicine and related fields.

　　Learning Outcomes

　　Degree recipients should possess the skills and abilities described below:

　　Perform PET, CT and PET/CT examinations, analyze the results, and provide appropriate patient care relevant to each modality.

　　Demonstrate a level of knowledge in nuclear cardiology, positron emission tomography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance imaging that is commensurate with certification exams in these fields.

　　Discuss concepts of and provide input into the management of radiology image/information processing systems, quality assurance programs, and departmental accreditation efforts.

　　Apply concepts of management, communications, and teamwork to the operation of a nuclear medicine department, and develop strategies to improve departmental function.

　　Analyze aspects of health care as currently practiced in the United States, from the standpoint of economic challenges, cultural differences, and ethical dilemmas. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships

Entry requirements for Bellevue College

Transcripts in English from the current and/or previous schools.

　　An Internet-based TOEFL (IBT) score of 61 or a Paper-based TOEFL 500 ? An academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with all sub-scores 5.5 or higher ? A grade of ?C? in English as a First Language on the IGCSE or O-level exams ? An AP English Language or Literature/Comp score of 3 (Score of 3 places into English 101) ?
