  This course is for those looking to pursue a career in a wide range of health settings where you will use technologies to produce medical images to assist in accurate diagnosis and sound patient care.

  The Bachelor of Applied Science (Diagnostic Radiography) is an undergraduate coursework degree that will prepare you for professional practice as a diagnostic radiographer developing your skills in the use of the latest technology to produce high-quality medical images that can assist medical specialists to describe, diagnose, monitor and treat injury or illness. This program is accredited by the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia and is an approved program of study for general registration.

  Graduates of this program will be eligible to register with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia. You will complete core and elective units according to a prescribed sequence of study over four years, including one elective in international health. You will also complete a series of clinical educational fieldwork/professional experience units throughout the course which you must pass in order to continue your studies. Admission to this course is on the basis of the following criteria:

  a secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), or approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
