About the course
The Master of Science degree is a research-intensive program, usually consisting of 18 units of course weight in graduate courses, a thesis proposal course, and a thesis. Twelve of the 18 units of course weight must be from ECE courses, while the remaining six units should be taken outside of the department. A minimum period of residence for the MSc program is full-time attendance during two consecutive four-month terms. A period of two years is typically required to complete the degree.Integrated Circuits (IC) and Systems are miniaturized electronic circuits constructed of semiconductors. In the last half century, the IC industry has grown exponentially, entering all aspects of our daily lives. Inetgrated circuits are ubiquitous in electronic devices such as computers, microprocessors, cellular phones, sensors, and displays, to name a few. Needless to say, integrated circuits and systems research at the University of Alberta has a significant impact on the world. Our researchers are involved in all stages of development of integrated circuits, including modeling of integrated active and passive devices, analyzing and designing integrated circuits, and testing and examining integrated circuits and systems. They also examine digital, analog, and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Scholarships - View all scholarships Internships
