About the course

This course is taught by the same expert staff who teach on our degree courses. You'll be able to develop transferable skills in accounting, communication and problem-solving. This course will help build your confidence so that you'll be able to transfer to a full three-year degree. Our expert staff will give you the foundation skills you need if you're not quite ready for a degree or you're just returning to study.

　　The Foundation Year in Accounting and Finance is offered as an entry route to an accounting or finance degree for those who don't yet meet the entry requirements for degree-level study.

　　You'll enrol on a four-year course, which includes the one-year foundation course. If you complete this year successfully you progress directly onto one of our three-year degree courses in this subject area.

　　The Foundation Year is for you if:

　　You do not have the right qualifications for a full degree

　　You feel you are not yet ready for degree-level study

　　You are returning to study and feel you need some help to get up to speed with the demands of learning before embarking on a degree.
